VLACS (Virtual Learning Academy Charter School), Modern States, and the College Board’s College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) program have partnered to create an option for high school students and adult learners to earn college credit for introductory-level college courses by passing subject-specific exams.
Our CLEP courses integrate Modern States’ course content with personalized instructor guidance and support, ensuring you are well-prepared to succeed on CLEP exams. Upon completion of each VLACS CLEP course, you’ll gain the knowledge needed for the CLEP exam while also receiving school credit from VLACS. Successfully passing these exams allows you to earn college credits that are transferable to many colleges and universities that accept these credits, providing a cost-effective and time-saving way to get ahead in your academic journey.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows you to earn college credit by demonstrating your understanding of college-level material across various subjects. With 34 exams available, CLEP covers topics from College Math to Biology and Accounting. Passing these exams can earn you 3 to 12 college credits, depending on the subject and score received on the exam.
CLEP offers significant cost savings by reducing the number of courses needed for a degree. These exams are accepted by over 2,900 colleges and universities, making it a flexible and widely recognized option.
