EARLY COLLEGE

Earn High School and College Credit with VLACS and UNH

In partnership with University of New Hampshire (UNH) and VLACS, high school students can take college courses and earn both college and high school credit. This program gives students the opportunity to get a head start with their college coursework in a cost-effective way, while also earning credit that counts toward high school graduation.

How it Works

2. View course information in the Learning Catalog

Select Early College Courses to view course materials and assignments before you make your selections.

3. Enroll in courses through VLACS

If you have not enrolled at VLACS before, you will need to create a student account in Compass, our student information system.

4. Get academic credit

As long as you have an active VLACS account and you enroll in Dual Credit courses through UNH, you will receive VLACS credit automatically when you complete a course.

Why Choose UNH Dual Enrollment?

  • Courses are taught by VLACS instructors, which means you will receive individualized instruction and support.
  • You can demonstrate your ability to complete college level work
  • You can satisfy high school graduation requirements
  • Many colleges* will accept these credits, saving you time and money towards a college diploma

*We cannot guarantee that all colleges and universities will accept UNH credits, just as not all colleges accept AP courses as college credit.
