You are a Meet & Greet Representative for a tour operator. You are responsible for meeting and greeting tour participants at the airport in a Spanish speaking city of your choice. The participants are just beginning to learn Spanish. You have the privilege of being the tour company’s first representative that these participants meet in person; therefore, it is vital that you create a positive first impression and help them feel comfortable.

You will gather information about each participant, create an information page with passenger descriptions, and email it to the tour guide and each passenger so that they can all get to know each other a bit before the tour begins. You will also leave a voicemail advising travelers what you look like so they can identify you at the airport.

You will devise a list of activities and questions that you may use during lunch bunch to help the students. These will include activities with -AR verbs and things they like with ‘Gustar’. Part of your role is to give parents updates on their child’s progress, so you will also record voicemails that you could leave a parent.

You are a Talent Agent who works with Latino business contacts, casting directors, and other commercial talent agencies to find jobs for your Latino clients. An important part of your job is writing Entertainers’ Profiles for athletes, actors, models, comedians, singers, bands, musicians, and other performers. Since you specifically work with Latino clients, you will write profiles in Spanish focusing on correctly using ser, estar, and tener to describe your client with the appropriate adjectives. The audio and video clips will be part of entertainer’s profiles, and you will include both a written and audio presentation of one of the profiles you create.

You are a personal stylist based in a Spanish-speaking country. Your organization selects fashion styles based on the client’s individual tastes and interests. You are tasked with creating a styling package for a wealthy client who represents the local style and culture of the country in which you are based. This client is also looking to give some items to friends. You will need to let your client know the items you are giving them, the price of the items, and to whom some of the items could be given. You’ll first build a relationship with your client through voicemail, and then send the final package with full descriptions.

Your company’s product will feature common foods that are familiar to the Spanish-speaking market.

Your final product will be in the form of a ‘live’ recording, pamphlet, or multimedia presentation shown to guests during an orientation to the park.

You are tasked with creating a product that will orient them to their new community (a location of your choice in the U.S. that has substantial Hispanic/Latino influence), including options for culture, music, entertainment, sports, etc. As many stem-changing verbs are associated with these activities, you will use these and relevant vocabulary to help clients with orientation to their new community.
