Overview

Students will learn about three careers of their choice and interact with professionals via live video conferences and by accessing a library of pre-recorded videos. Live sessions are hosted by VLACS instructors who also provide support and feedback throughout the learning experience. Students are required to attend two live video conferences and to watch at least one pre-recorded session. Other required activities include researching career requirements, average salaries, and job outlooks. The final project is a reflection that summarizes what the student has learned.

    Students will demonstrate an understanding of career areas of interest by identifying careers of interest, interacting with and reflecting on interactions with professionals, and explaining the required education, training, skills, responsibilities, and pathways to a career of interest.
