Celebrating the Class of 2026

On Friday, June 12, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester, NH, the VLACS community gathered to celebrate a monumental milestone: the graduation of our full-time students.

As a virtual school serving students worldwide, our high school Class of 2026 was a true reflection of our diverse community. This year’s graduating class featured 196 students hailing from locations across the map, including New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida.

We also had the honor of awarding high school diplomas to five graduates from our adult education program, as well as recognizing 24 full-time elementary and 60 middle school completers.

Many of the graduates are heading off to college this fall, with acceptances to Dartmouth College, Boston College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, University of New Hampshire, Oregon State University, University of Wyoming, and beyond.

But higher education is just one of many paths. Several of our graduates, including some of our Norma McGarr Award recipients, are diving straight into their careers, while others are paving their own way by starting small businesses or entering into hands-on apprenticeships in the trades.

Wherever they are headed next, they leave prepared. Class of ‘26 student Camper Dales, who has been a VLACS student since the sixth grade, took the stage as one of our student speakers to reflect on the unprecedented challenges her generation has navigated over the past several years.

“A lot has happened in the last six years, to all of us,” she noted. “COVID. Schools shutting down. Wars. Artificial Intelligence. Honestly, it might be easier to list what didn’t happen.”

Yet, she emphasized that the unique VLACS experience equipped her and her classmates to tackle any obstacle with confidence. “No matter what your circumstances may be, academically or in life, there’s a level of flexibility and support here that lets you adjust, instead of forcing you into one rigid path.”

That resilience and adaptability are exactly what make this class so special. As our Director of Academic and Student Affairs, Carey Glines, told the crowd: “Graduates, your journeys have inspired us, and we are incredibly honored to have walked alongside you. We are absolutely blown away by what you’ve achieved and the diverse futures you’re about to build.”

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! You have made us incredibly proud, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you.

If you would like to experience the flexibility and support that leads to a VLACS diploma, consider joining our full-time program!
