This course provides the basic knowledge needed for working with information technology: key topics include the nature of information assets, how they are valuable to the enterprise, and how hardware, software, and networking technologies are used to support them. This course maps to the CompTIA IT Fundamentals FC0-U61 Exam.
You will benefit most from this course if you intend to take a CompTIA IT Fundamentals FC0-U61 exam, or if you wish to attain an introduction to the core principles and skills of information technology.
Cost: Students purchase 28 days of access for $105. Students may work as quickly through the content as they wish. Every 28 days, students may purchase an additional 28 days of access for an additional $105.

The Fundamentals of Computers
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of computers by explaining computing concepts, explaining operating systems, and describing the Windows 10 Interface.
Computer Hardware
Students will demonstrate an understanding of computer hardware by explaining core components, describing computer expansion, and summarizing computer peripherals.
File Management
Students will demonstrate an understanding of file management by describing file types and explaining file systems.
Computer Administration
Students will demonstrate an understanding of computer administration by describing Windows settings, explaining computer maintenance, and summarizing computer use safety.
Computer Security
Students will demonstrate an understanding of computer security by explaining security fundamentals, describing security techniques, and summarizing device security.
Network Fundamentals
Students will demonstrate an understanding of network fundamentals by explaining networking concepts, describing network technologies, and summarizing the Windows network.
Computer Software
Students will demonstrate an understanding of computer software by describing applications, explaining application installation, summarizing software development, and describing databases.
The Internet
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the internet by summarizing web technologies, describing web browsers, and explaining cloud applications.
