Who is eligible?

You can register for Dual Enrollment courses and earn VLACS credits toward your diploma if you meet the following criteria*:

  • You are a New Hampshire student or out-of-state student who has not yet earned a high school diploma.
  • You are a high school sophomore, junior, or senior and will complete coursework before your 21st birthday.
  • You have completed any pre-requisite courses required for the dual credit course you plan to take.

Credits earned through VLACS early college programs may be accepted at many colleges and universities, but transfer policies vary by institution. VLACS recommends contacting your school or prospective college to confirm how credits will be applied.

UNH early college students can earn up to 28 UNH credits total through the program. SNHU early college has no credit limit, so students can earn as many credits as they’d like.

Yes, all VLACS early college courses are completed fully online, giving you the flexibility to study from anywhere on a schedule that works for you.

To earn college credit, students must earn a passing grade in the course. To earn high school credit, students must score 85% or higher on key competency assignments and maintain an overall average of 60% or above. You’re allowed multiple attempts on assignments, and your VLACS instructor will support you throughout the course.

Yes, VLACS serves home educated families across New Hampshire and beyond. Both NH residents and out-of-state students are eligible to enroll in early college courses, provided they meet grade level and prerequisite requirements.

Courses follow a standard semester calendar. Start dates vary, with summer, fall, spring, and year-round sessions available.
