Do you enjoy video games or music videos? Have you ever wondered how they put together the music and art to make these? It’s all about creative coding!

In this enrichment experience, students will be introduced to block coding in Scratch. They will apply their creativity to many activities and connect with other students through the sharing of ideas and feedback. Each week, we will explore computational concepts and practices, as well as the features of the Scratch interface. Students can rework and refine their projects throughout the week and share out at the weekly meetings. There will also be opportunities for extension for those that are quick to learn! The final weeks culminate with peer programming, career exploration, and a hackathon to showcase students’ skills.

This enrichment experience will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 4:00pm. The session will run for six weeks starting the week of October 9th.

Instructor will contact each enrolled student with more information, and a list of any required materials.

During this course, you will learn career-related skills and earn a badge for this accomplishment. A badge is a digital certification of your career-related learning that you can share on social media and higher education platforms, or with colleges, potential employers, peers, and colleagues.
