Food is something every living thing needs to survive, but do you ever think about where your food comes from? How did that apple end up in your fruit bowl? Where did the ingredients for your pizza sauce come from? In this session, we’re going to talk about food! We’ll learn about the paths our food takes to get to our tables, how plants grow, the importance of bees and soil, and the people involved in food systems. We will even make our own bee homes and grow our own plants!

This enrichment experience will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 11:00 am. The session will run for six weeks starting the week of October 9th.

Instructor will contact each enrolled student with more information, and a list of any required materials.

During this course, you will learn career-related skills and earn a badge for this accomplishment. A badge is a digital certification of your career-related learning that you can share on social media and higher education platforms, or with colleges, potential employers, peers, and colleagues.
