    Students will demonstrate an understanding of communicating professionally by describing professionalism, active listening and body language, identifying barriers to effective communication and listening, and explaining ethical considerations in workplace communication.
  • Speaking Professionally & Collaborating
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of speaking professionally and collaborating by explaining the importance of adapting speech to an audience as well as techniques to enhance speaking, identifying different team roles and ground rules to follow, and describing different communication channels for team collaboration, and the steps for problem solving as a team.
  • Digital Communication
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of digital communication by comparing and contrasting different media used in digital exchanges, explaining the use and best practices of social media for business messaging and brand awareness, and describing ethical considerations of digital communication.
  • Planning and Creating Presentations
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of planning and creating presentations by explaining the importance of audience, purpose, and topic in a business presentation, describing best practices for creating and delivering different kinds of online presentations, as well as how to develop a three-part structure for a presentation, defining storyboarding, and applying basic principles of visual design and enhancements to a presentation.
  • Delivering a Presentation
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of delivering a presentation by explaining how to prepare and deliver a presentation, describing techniques to engage an audience, and providing tips for presenting to an interview audience.
