BioFabUSA, a program of the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI), welcomes you to uncover the science of biofabrication through research and application during a weeklong summer workshop! The mission of BioFabUSA is to establish the scalable, consistent, and cost-effective manufacturing of tissues, cells, and organs to save lives and to build the needed workforce by training students like you to prepare for a future in biomanufacturing.

This workshop will take place:
July 17-21, from 9:00am – 3:00pm
Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI)
500 N. Commercial Street, 2nd Floor, Manchester, NH 03101.

Throughout this weeklong workshop of the ARMI | BioFabSA Micro-internship, you will demonstrate the acquired learning of tissue engineering and biomanufacturing to meet academic competencies.

In addition to VLACS enrollment, please complete this survey to participate.

Major Topics and Concepts

Throughout the workshop, students will apply concepts of Biofabrication, Biomanufacturing, Regenerative medicine, Regenerative manufacturing, advanced technologies, and tissue engineered medical products (TEMP). Students should have prior understanding of Biology or have already completed a Biology course prior to signing up.

-During this weeklong workshop you will be exploring career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and the next-generation technologies that comprise the biofabrication industry!
You will be working with the members of your team to:
– Identify a real-world medical problem that can be addressed with the science of regenerative medicine.
– Conceive a product for a tissue engineered medical product (TEMP) that addresses the problem.
– Quantify the problem to highlight a need for the product you conceive, then design a business model to define finances and promotion of your product.
– Explain your problem, product, and business model concept before a judging panel in a 3-4 minute pitch deck presentation.
