    Students will demonstrate an understanding of 3D modeling basics and applications by defining basic terminology and uses of 3D modeling, describing the historical development of 3D modeling, explaining 3D modeling techniques, articulating social change corresponding with 3D modeling development, describing current and future applications of 3D modeling and explaining computer components and programming concepts.
  • Digital Citizenship and Ethics
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of digital citizenship and ethics as they relate to 3D modeling by explaining digital citizenship responsibilities, plagiarism, and emerging technologies and describing copyright dynamics, applications, and violations.
  • 3D Modeling Environments in Blender
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of 3D modeling environments in Blender by utilizing Blender, comparing various 3D modeling techniques, and explaining and using 3D objects, digital tools and resources.
  • Visual Elements
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of 3D modeling visual elements by explaining the process of visualization, identifying and applying related technical concepts, articulating the effects of light and perspective, and describing the implementation of visual simulation.
  • Light and Shade
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of light and shade in 3D modeling by explaining the basics of lighting and shading, describing and utilizing lighting techniques and applications, and using lighting commands in Blender.
  • 3D Geometrics
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of 3D geometrics by using Blender geometric navigation and design, and applying transforms and modifiers to 3D objects.
  • Texturing and Rendering
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of texturing and rendering by explaining the technical concepts of texture and rendering, applying texture and render in Blender, analyzing and utilizing camera and light for effective render, and creating a 3D scene.
  • Careers and Applications of 3D Modeling
    Students will demonstrate an understanding of careers and applications of 3D modeling by identifying the use of 3D models in various industries and the real-world, using modeling techniques to create an environmental model, explaining the impact of environmental models, and differentiating careers in which 3D modeling skills could be applied.
