Welcome to the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School

VLACS is New Hampshire's first, statewide, online virtual public high school and middle school where we offer students the opportunity to learn at their own pace from anywhere. As part of the public school system, we are free to all students living in New Hampshire.  Our mission is to use the latest technology to provide our students with any time, anywhere access to a rigorous, personalized education that helps students learn today, graduate tomorrow and prepare for the future.

Established in May of 2007, we have grown to include over 125 certified  instructors and offer courses in every traditional subject and many electives. See course catalog. Students may attend part time or full time - from any state.

Every student has a front row seat without distraction from other students.  Each student receives one on one instruction from their instructor. Learning at their own pace allows the student to fully comprehend every lesson, every test and every course. Course material is accessible 24/7. Where ever there is computer access, a student can attend to their studies. Students can attend a course at anytime, from anywhere which means students can take a class during their free hour in school, or at night or the weekend, part or full time. Students involved in extracurricular activities or a job or family obligations can learn around their busy schedules.

Because there are no geographic barriers to online learning, students can find a diversity of course material at all levels that may not be available where they live. Learning independently helps with confidence, maturity, self esteem and critical thinking. Students can register and start a class any time throughout the school year.
