As a parent, you are a valued partner in your child's learning experience. From approving course requests to monitoring progress, the Guardian Account allows parents to have a hands-on approach with their student's academic life at VLACS. “As an educated parent, I feel VLACS has been a wonderful tool for teaching my child exactly how to do independent learning.”

Applying for a Guardian Account:

Students must first apply for admissions at VLACS and receive their username and password. You will need the student's username and password to create the Guardian Account.

At VLACS, you will find ample avenues to stay informed about your child's progress. Your guardian account provides:

• 24-7 access to submitted and/or graded assignments;
• 24-7 access to your child's grade book.

In addition, you receive:

• Monthly phone calls from teachers;
• Monthly progress reports emailed to the parent's email address;
• Regular email updates from teacher(s);
• Extensive access to teachers (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, as well as weekend hours).
